Scallop Seed Avoidance Program
Come help design how a scallop avoidance area will operate! If you're interested in receiving Scallop RSA, you must pre-register for one of four workshops.
Designing and Testing Dynamic Co-management to Protect Scallop Seed and Maximize Yield
This FY26-27 scallop RSA project will work across the scallop fleet to co-design a process and tools to let captains voluntarily avoid areas with lots of seed, giving them a chance to grow into more valuable catch. During FY27 the proof of concept will be tested with a pilot.
Call Caity (774-316-0417) or Kaity (774-305-1093) with questions!
