Our Work
Here at the Fishermen’s Alliance, we believe that fishermen possess the solutions to the challenges they face. Whether it’s an improvement to fishing regulations, expanded research programs, or educational and economic development projects in our communities, our work is guided by the energy, innovation and expertise of local fishermen.
Together, we’re building a better future for fish and fishing.

CALL TO ACTION: HERRING
Atlantic Herring provide a key source of food for striped bass, bluefin tuna, and many other groundfish, seabirds, and marine mammals. The New England Fishery Management Council is in the process of evaluating what should be done to improve herring management. Your voice matters! They need to hear from you about your interest in herring, impact of user conflicts on you, and proposed area and seasonal management measures that may be necessary to rebuild herring.
