Volunteer with us!
The Fishermen’s Alliance relies heavily on support from year-round volunteers. As a member of our small team, you will get unique opportunities to learn about the fabric of our fishing industry and help build a better future for the fish and fishermen of Cape Cod.
When you volunteer with us, you will get the chance to immerse yourself in a community organization dedicated to maintaining the fishing heritage of Cape Cod.
We are currently looking for event volunteers including:
- Hookers Ball (Auction, Set-up, Day-of, Clean-up)
- General Events (Meet the Fleet)

Nancy Hendel, volunteer at events and decorating
"What drew me to volunteering with the alliance was the fact that one of their main objectives is to preserve and protect the local fishing industry, something I feel strongly about. What keeps me involved is the energy and the appreciation of the staff, and the comfort and ease I feel whenever I walk in the building. I am always learning something new about fish, fishing techniques and the future outlook for our fishing fleet, and that keeps me interested in working with them."
Richard & Kathleen Banks, volunteers year-round at events and auction procurement
"Being volunteers with the Fishermen’s Alliance has provided us with a great opportunity to see first-hand how important the fishing industry is to Cape Cod both in terms of the economic benefits and a viable food source. It has also been a great pleasure to meet the fishermen and staff who are striving to make a positive difference in the community."
Ellen (Scott) Garvey, volunteer at events and data entry
"My involvement with the Fishermen’s Alliance has educated me on an industry which has been a foundation of the Cape and continues to be an important economic factor. Volunteering with them has introduced me to wonderful folks I might not otherwise have met and has provided many opportunities to serve the community."
