"I had been telling the guys at the Fishermen's Alliance just how many skates and dogfish we'd been seeing in the ocean. They sprang into action and took us to Washington to talk with NOAA Fisheries directly. Recent scientific data had shown that skate populations were on the rise and the agency ended up increasing the overall amount of skates that fishermen could land. The Alliance always finds a way to help us out."
