Our Meet the Fleet events occur six times per year. The next event is on:

Join us for our final Meet the Fleet event of the season with local father-and-son fishermen, Tim and Sam Linnell, as they talk about new developments in the skate fishery and how research conducted by the Fishermen’s Alliance in 2015 effected recent policy change for barndoor skates– a different skate species than what you’re used to hearing about, which is winter skate. They will also share stories of fishing on Cape Cod, the advocacy work they’ve been involved in through the Fishermen’s Alliance in Washington D.C., and what challenges and opportunities young fishermen face in the industry today.

Head chef and proprietor of Brine (Eastham), Zia Auch will prepare delicious tasting of a local, seasonal fish. Chef Auch was born and raised in Wellfleet and is the daughter of a fisherman.

Come early and enjoy locally crafted beer from Hog Island Beer Co. and lite bites from Chatham Bars Inn starting at 5 p.m. The presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Please note that while Meet the Fleet events are free of charge, a reservation (Eventbrite ticket) is required for each individual in your party, as space is limited.
